Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) is a professional designation in property-casualty insurance and risk management. The curriculum includes 8 courses covering insurance contracts, business, and ethics. Designees must pass exams in 5 core courses and 3 courses in either a personal or commercial insurance concentration. CPCU designees are also bound by a Code of Ethics. The CPCU designation is administered by the American Institute of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.
