LIC Child Plan : Best policy for my son's future

I want to save/invest in LIC policies for my child, who is 6 Month old. I can save/invest for my child Rs. 24000/-( per annum). I am salaried person (Aged - 36 years old) and my Gross salary is 30,000/-pm. Please suggest me best policy for my son future.

LIC India offers following child plans:
1) Komal Jeevan
2) Jeevan Chhaya
3) Jeevan Kishore
4) Child Career Plans
5) Jeevan Anurag

Kids won't need life insurance coverage, so I would suggest you to buy long term equity mutual funds as return in the above plans are very less. Also invest in gold.
